It was great to spend time with Barbara & Beka in Minnesota. I really cherish my roots, as most of you know, and still consider myself a Minnesotan.
Moving to Texas probably helped cement that identity - living somewhere else makes home even more special. I'm sure that if I left Texas, I would do the same for the culture and environment here (not that I don't appreciate the Lone Star state. I love lots of things about it - green grass in February, delicious Tex-Mex food & avocados and the wide breadth of popular/alternative music available).
Now Beka is living in L.A. and Barbara will return to Colorado. But we will meet again in Minnesota at Christmas celebrations to come.
