Dear Elizabeth

I hadn't seen Elizabeth in what seemed like decades (more like years?) when I went to D.C. for Spring Break. Let's not wait so much for the next visit, we both agreed. Then she promptly booked a trip back to Texas and came this week.

Well, yes, her parents do live in Houston, and "technically" (imagine my air quotes here), she and Jason and Oliver were visiting them. But they came to B/CS on Monday and we had a fantabulous visit: avocado sandwiches, a mini-Blinn tour (Wow, it's a real college campus, not a bunch of rooms next to Subway in a strip mall anymore), playground playing, sundaes, then burritos, with lots of 30 Rock and The Office dialogue thrown in. (See my previous post on how I feel about lines from those shows!)

It was a truly happy day. Here's the photo she posted online!

Not to mention our lovely McDonalds stop (oh french fries taste extra good when pregnant) and lots of time to chat and catch up ... it was wonderful. See you in June?

How FUN! (Her little guy, was it Oliver, looks a smiling cherub in that green suit!). LOVE.
